We love Dave's Diner (390 W Grove St Middleboro, MA 02346 508 923-4755). Good food, happy staff, inexpensive. My wife and I can have breakfast for two for $10.74 before tip - hard to beat that nowadays. Heck, if we share a meal (which we can easily do because of generous portions), we can both have dinner for a grand total of $10 or $11 too.

The burgers are very good here - nothing I hate more than a lousy burger, but every one I have had here is mouth-watering good. Their clam plate is great too, and Linda really loves the Corn Beef Hash. I've had the Turkey Dinner or Turkey sandwich more than once, and both Linda and I are fans of their Tuna sandwiches. I've even stopped and brought one home to Linda as a surprise - better than roses!

We've eyed that desert display many times, but have usually been too stuffed to try anything.. we did try the chocolate cake once and we split a piece of apple pie with ice cream another time.. very, very nice.

The only gripes we have are that we often have to wipe off our seats before we sit down - the table stuff gets swept onto the seats when they clean; very careless. Linda got food stains on a pair of white shorts as a result of this; we really wish they'd pay attention (some of the waitstaff does, but most do not). Some days we find a dirty utensil or two also, but unfortunately that's true everywhere. And we do wish they wouldn't give us so much maple syrup and butter - it just goes to waste and that bothers us. But the food is great, the service is fast, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
