Adam Bond's Letter to Oak Point 7/30/2007

Normally I wouldn't publish letters from anyone who is not an Oak Point resident, but I'll make an exception for this from Adam Bond, Middleboro Selectman:

One of the single most gratifying aspects of the "Casino Wars" was my opportunity to visit and speak with the residents of Oak Point (and to finally be able to apologize to them). My lasting impression of the residents is that they are a true untapped resource of knowledge, experience, culture and sophistication that I would love to incite to become involved in Middleborough Town politics. We truly need your perspective and assistance in the days to come, and as is clear, you are good friends and neighbors to the other citizens of Town - even those on Plain Street who may never admit it.

Thank you for your patience and perseverance through what have been several months of political unrest. It had to happen to move forward, and I am glad that we have friends like you in this new journey we are about to undertake.

Finally, I would love to come back and speak with you about "where we go from here" and how Oak Point can help ALL of us to get there.

Live long and laugh often - because the only other alternative is to cry.
