Many thanks to the large group of friendly neighbors who signed the interest sheet making it possible for a great evening enjoying the Big Bands in the Oak Point Ballroom (see They Don't Write Or Play Our Kind Of Music Anymore!) actually to become a scheduled event. Apparently the schedule for this type of activity is quite full until well into 2008, so we'll do this event some time in February or early March with the specific date to be announced later.

That allows plenty of time for me to prepare what I promise will be a fun evening for all down memory lane. Once again the big bands will help you mentally travel back in time for dancing to or just listening to sounds that were familiar when you were young. I'm sure that within the range of the programming I'll present to you will be favorite memories for all of us-the music will be entirely authentic.

So thanks again for showing interest. Now let me get busy putting together an evening that will bring everyone back to when "Sock Hops" in your favorite spots were part of your "fire of September" years!
