Adopt an Athlete Program

Folks, Middleboro needs help. I was asked to join a committee that wants to raise pledges to help children participate in Middleboro School Sports Programs.

We can complain about mismanagement, wasteful spending and so on, and yes, those are issues that need to be addressed. But right now, all parents have to pay user fees for their children to participate in Middleboro School Sports. Some families simply cannot afford those fees.

I'm not a sports fan.

I sincerely wish that every student simply had joy for learning. However, I know that some students only stay in school because of sports, and that the opportunity to play is an important part of social maturation for many others. While I may never understand the allure of team sports, I do understand how important it is to many young people.

If you can help, no matter how little, please make a pledge. We are pressed for time, so please consider this today if you can. We don't need a credit card, and you don't need to write a check right now. We just need a promise: it will take just seconds.
