For some time now, we have discussed non-profits and the availability of 501©3 and helping the entire town, not just the down town. We also, have discussed helping individual entities and the individuals and segments of population, under the umbrella of one non-profit. A vote was taken at the last MOM meeting to enlarge the membership and work towards a common goal for the entire community. Many of you have expressed to me that you would like an opportunity to work in a volunteer capacity to help out the entire town. MOM decided to invite everyone to be included in the rewording the charter and the by laws to accomplish this task.
MOM would like to invite ask all those interested to come to the Middleborough Town Hall on June 18th (Wednesday) at 5 pm to meet and to discuss the feasibility of this accomplishment and meet each other. The new Town Manager is to be hosted by the Board of Selectmen at 5:30-8, so we thought that this would be a perfect time for everyone to be there.
Today's Globe shows how non-profits should be working to merge to cut down expenses and to accomplish more.
A merge with another Trust or non-profit would fit in very nicely for the accomplishment of so much in this town.
Hope to see you there

President of Middleborough on the Move
