You may be among the lucky ones who came here without a mortgage, but for the rest of us, this may be a good time to refinance. We almost tossed out a letter from Bridgewater Savings, but did call and found that they could offer us a re-fi at 6.5% (we are at 6.75% now) with no closing costs and no appraisal fees - basically saving us almost $50.00 a month for the effort of signing a stack of paperwork.

We spoke to Michelle at (508) 884-3300 and gave her everything she needed to get started over the phone. We just need to finish up our tax return and get that to her and we're done.

We just spoke to Michelle again. Chattel mortgages haven't come down any in spite of the Feds dropping rates so much. She'll let us know if and when they do.
