The Oak Point Homeowners Charity Golf Tournament(OPHCGT) was held on September 27, 2007 at the Lakeville Country Club. We had 132 golfers take part in this charity, and had over 100 sponsors and donors contribute to the success of this event.

The major contributors to this charity were Gary Darman ( Saxon Partners), Paul Richardson, Dennis Crowley (Apollo Security), Dellarocco's Landscaping, Ed Lupo (Artistic Embroidery), Walter Reed (Pepsi Bottling), The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, Silko Honda, Muckey's Liquors. Many thanks to these generous businesses. Remember to thank them when you are doing business with them.

We also had 49 volunteers working that day making things run smoothly. The captains of these volunteer groups were : REGISTRATION: Judi Gordon, BANQUET: Bettilou Morrill, GROUNDS: Jerry Ellis, SALES: Dick Downie, PUBLICITY: Carol Kalchthaler, RAFFLE: Nancy Downie, TREASURER: Peg Crowley. The other volunteers who made things work that day were : Carol Barber, Bette Damron, Marge Fitzmaurice, Sarah Pray, Jean Richardson, Shelia Sweeney, Dick Buckley, Ray Buote, Bob Burke, Charlie Davis, Ron Dawson, John Doyle, Mark Fitzmaurice, Rene Guilmet, Mary Buckley, Eileen Cargen, Carol Crocker, Maureen Cushman, Lorraine D'Agostino, Cheryl Donohue, Doris Doyle, Sandy Ellis, Marlene Gunn, Mary Laubenstine, Marion Litchfield, Linda Lupo, Mimi Lyons, Regina Moeiarty, Nancy Roberts, June Snow, Rita Sweeney, Jan Weiner, Judi Williams, Bob Cargen, Bill Daley, Les Damron, Joan Kievenaar, Jerry McCarthy, Bob Morrill, Walter Reed, Mike Sweeney, Ed Lupo.

I am pleased to announce that we were able to make a larger than expected contribution to the "Brittany J. Richardson Foundation". We wrote a check for $8,000.00. This foundation is in support of mentally challenged children.

We have set a date for next years second annual OPHCGT for September 25, 2008. I hope we can count on everyone to support this charity again in 2008. Next year we will again support the Brittany J.Richardson Foundation...PLUS... we will share the proceeds with one other worthy charity, which will be announced in the near future.

We are always in need of new volunteers-sponsors and donors. If you can in any way help next year please contact me or any of the above listed volunteers.
