Helping Hands of Oak Point
I was completely unaware of this wonderful program. I was asked to help publicize it here, and I'm very happy to do so. Here's the flyer - you can pick one up at the Social Office or just print this page.
I called Paul Kreitzberg and volunteered myself for this. I'm not a handy-man (very much not), but I'm healthy and strong and can certainly be a helper when needed.
What kinds of things does Helping Hands do? Basic handyman stuff: simple electrical, simple plumbing (repace a light switch or a faucet), assembling things, moving furniture, putting up shelves.. they aren't going to paint your house, or fix your TV, but if you think what you need is basic and simple, run it by them. If they can't do it, they'll tell you who can.
