American Legion (Kathy Foye)
I was wondering if there is an interest among some of the Oak Point ladies to help the veterans. I know the men's group is very active.
I am the President of the American Legion Aux. Unit 64 in town, and we would welcome any of the ladies wishing to join us.
We are a very active group with many projects. We do a quilt each year for our fund-raising, go to the VA for activities, participate in the Christmas activities for the veterans and send packages to the soldiers overseas, just to name a few thing. There are many projects, and everyone can find one or two to participate in.
Would you please extend my invitation to the ladies at Oak Point? We would love to have them come to a meeting and see if they are interested in joining us.
